Helping Make a Lasting Impact

What does serving on our Board of Directors mean?

We believe in being straightforward and transparent. Serving on the Board of Directors for Hoosier Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation is a commitment to the long-term success, integrity, and growth of our organization. Board service is a position of trust and leadership. Members are expected to act in the best interest of the organization at all times, helping guide strategy, support sustainability, and ensure we continue providing high-quality, ethical wildlife care to our community. Our board is a working and giving board. We are proud to have 100% board giving, and we are committed to maintaining that standard. This means each board member contributes financially at a level that is meaningful to them and actively supports fundraising efforts throughout the year.

What should you expect?

Board members are engaged, thoughtful, and collaborative. Responsibilities include attending meetings, contributing to organizational planning, supporting fundraising initiatives, and serving as ambassadors for our mission within the community.

We meet at least quarterly, with additional communication or involvement as needed to support the organization’s work and growth.
